Get Ready for DGTL festival 2014

With DGTL's ADE-trilogy behind us, all eyes are set on the future, as everyone is gearing up for DGTL festival 2014. On Easter weekend - 19 & 20 April 2014 - DGTL returns to Amsterdam's NDSM-docklands to present you; a weekend filled with the best underground electronica around today. The old shipyard, located on the waterfront of the city harbour, is the setting for a memorable season opener, with 2 days of festival, 6 stages, supported by no less than 81 artists.

The former NDSM-docklands transform into DGTL's ultimate playground with five outdoor stages and one inside the Scheepsbouwloods. This enormous warehouse was home to DGTL's ADE showcases Paradise, Kompakt and Wisdome of the Glove and is now once again, creating a special inside-out experience with an industrial touch. Special focus this year to DGTL revolution and DGTL art, connecting fields of innovation and industrial nostalgia, the future and the past.

The DGTL campsite will be located at Vliegenbos, a nice small forest located only five minutes away from the festival site, and offers spots for tents and fixed bungalows for a 3 night stay. Camping ticket packages will be available soon in the ticket section.

DGTL festival 2014 is supported by Innervisions, Kompakt, CrewLove, Resident Advisor and Red Bull Studios LIVE.

DGTL REVOLUTION

The Revolution Factory will be an innovative and interactive place were everybody (including you!) can be part of our Revolution.

The ideology of DGTL Revolution is to make some fundamental changes in the way our festival is set up, targeting sustainability. Because every revolution starts with one key transformation, the element we aim to improve this year will be plastic trash!

The plastic cups will be collected by our DGTL Trash Collective during the festival and transported to the Revolution Factory. This part of the festival is specifically designed into a place were the plastic materials will be separated and transformed into a new product. This will all happen through an exciting industrial process.

Curious about what this process will be!?!?!? STAY UP TO DATE!

Registration is closed! We will contact you soon who can join our DGTL Trash Collective!

WE ARE RECRUITING for the DGTL TRASH COLLECTIVE volunteers day 2014!
The climate is changing, global warming is a fact and the battle against the plastic soup has begun!
Together we will make an army of volunteers and start the war against the plastic soup in the canals and 't IJ! And what is a better way than to do this by boat!?

DGTL is proud to be a partner of PLASTIC WHALE. www.facebook.com/plasticwhale

Together we will go plastic FISHING. Plastic Whale is a company founded to free the canals of Amsterdam from plastic trash. At the moment Plastic Whale is building a boat out of the plastic bottles they fished out of the canals! The boat will be presented on March the 5th at HISWA and on our DGTL TRASH COLLECTIVE volunteers day this boat will be the head commander at our hunt for plastic trash!

Our target on this special day is to do something back for the local community and clean up the waters that surround our beautiful festival terrain.
You can’t imagine how much stuff people leave behind which can be used for new purposes. Therefore we collect the plastic materials, which will be TRANSFORMED during and after the festival in a way that blows your mind away!

The hunt for plastic is open! Bring your boat & JOIN OUR ARMY of volunteers and become part of the DGTL TRASH COLLECTIVE.
Subscription is limited so be on time. First 50 participants receive a DGTL day-ticket. Boat owners receive a full DGTL-weekender + camping

Registration is closed! We will contact you soon who can join our DGTL Trash Collective!

DGTL future target is to become more and more sustainable. DGTL is thé event of the next generation and therefore we want to make sure that the future party people can enjoy this festival for another few decades. The ideology of DGTL Revolution is to make some fundamental changes in the way our festival is set up, targeting sustainability. We aim to reduce our ecological footprint and raise awareness among the people about the influence and importance of living environmentally friendly.

This year we start to make an ecological footprint of the event, what will give us full insight in our use of energy sources. Based on this a sustainability plan for the upcoming 5 years will be made. Because every revolution starts with one key transformation, the element we aim to improve this year will be plastic trash!

We made this choice because it’s clearly visible for the visitors and suppliers. Also we are able to influence the process of separation and recycling of these materials. Recycling is cheap and easy, and the benefits are immeasurable.

And this is only the start of the DGTL Revolution! Not only we will be working with recycling but we will also reuse materials from the terrain to build our festival. All our actions will be evaluated top down with our revolutionary ideology of sustainability in mind. DGTL REVOLUTION will bring your festival experience to a whole new level.

Join our army of volunteers and become part of the DGTL revolution

Partners

Innervisions is a Berlin based imprint founded in 2005 by Âme & Dixon. Ever since the start of the label it gained serious following in the German and European electronic music scene.
The label released a notorious collection of artists including Henrik Schwarz, Ame, Osunlade, Gerd Janson, Dixon and Marcus Worgull. As of today Innervisions is really setting its mark on underground electronic music by resetting standards to another level. Dixon just recently reached number one in the RA DJ top 100 poll. And this is well deserved Steffen. Congrats!

After the presence of the Âme duo Frank & Kristian during this year’s DGTL festival, we’re excited to have more of the legendary Innervision’s crew on board next year!

Kompakt is a Cologne-based electronic music record label and vinyl/CD distributor, owned by Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer and Jürgen Paape. Kompakt originated from a techno record store that was opened in Cologne in 1993 (under the name “Delirium”).

Kompakt itself was formally founded in 1998, combining several existing labels, the record store and distributor and also event organizing activities. Nowadays Kompakt is the home imprint of notable producers like Gui Boratto, Kölsch, Pachanga Boys, Michael Mayer and Robag Wruhme.

Just having recovered from an intense DGTL vs Kompakt ADE showcase, we simply cannot wait to see some familiar faces back again on Easter Weekend.

Every great artistic movement has been built around the inner ‘crew’—a tight-knit group of creative fellow travelers who share everything: hotel rooms and secrets, lives and lovers. Floating on a wave of unending passion and creative energy, Crew Love is a collaborative concept from Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, and Double Standard, three record labels known for their devotion to music that challenges the mind, moves the heart, and sways the hips.

Unhindered by set-times or velvet ropes – Crew Love is a deep experience of music and movement. Recreating that magical energy, Crew membership invites you into the inner circle of your favorite madcap musical gypsies.
Without a doubt all crew members coming to DGTL festival will give you what you need to swing your hips back and forward.

Resident Advisor is the leading online electronic music magazine.

Established in 2001, RA publishes news, reviews, features and podcasts to an audience of two million monthly readers. With offices in London, Berlin, Tokyo and Ibiza and contributors spanning the globe, RA covers anything and everything that is electronic music-related.

Red Bull Studios provides both local talent and highly anticipated international artists with the ultimate facilities to make music. The Red Bull Studios network consists of 10 cities including Amsterdam (NL), London (UK), New York (USA) and Johannesburg (SA). Over the last two years over a thousand artists experienced magical moments in the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam. This year selected artists step from the studio on to the stage to co-create with DGTL. By hosting a stage Red Bull Studios LIVE is partnering DGTL festival for the first time on this scale.

Deep House Amsterdam is the leading Amsterdam-based music platform. Renowned for its mixtape series, the organisation has hosted mixes for a variety of celebrated artists like Adriatique, Mario Basanov, Tom Trago, Edu Imbernon, Detroit Swindle or Rick Wade, as well as keeping an eye out for hot upcoming talent.

Next to mixtapes, interviews, news and organising events, Deep House Amsterdam is a well-respected media- and promotion partner for suitable events and upcoming releases. Always choosing its partners wisely, it has been able to create a high-quality standard in whatever business collaboration they engage in, while never losing focus of their initial motivation: a passion for fantastic (deep) house music.
